SaMi

Meet Santi and Miranda

SA·MI

Where does the name come from?

SaMi comes from combining the first two letters of SAnti and the first two of MIranda. They are our children, our inspiration, and the most authentic ambassadors of this foundation. We want them to grow up understanding that privilege carries responsibility — and that play is every child's right.

Santi

Santi

Chief Inspiration Officer · SA

The "SA" in SaMi. Soccer goalkeeper and golf enthusiast — if there's a sport, Santi plays it. As a keeper he knows firsthand what it costs to gear up: gloves, goalkeeper pants, jerseys… a position where kit barely lasts a season. That experience drives every donation.

Miranda

Miranda

Chief Joy Officer · MI

The "MI" in SaMi. Volleyball, flag football and basketball player, with years of competitive gymnastics — every sport brings her joy, especially team ones. Her parents have always made sure she had the clothes and gear she needed, and that has taught her how much that gesture means. Miranda dreams of a world where no child misses out on sport for lack of kit.

💡 This project is also Santi and Miranda's first lesson in philanthropy. They actively participate in item selection and learn from an early age that sharing is a fundamental value.
📝 Journal

Stories from every delivery

Here we share, delivery by delivery, the real journey of every donation — with photos, dates, and the communities that receive them.

📅 July 23, 2026 📍 Huacas, Guanacaste 🤝 CEPIA Association

Our first delivery: CEPIA Association, Huacas

On July 23, 2026 we made our very first official delivery. We traveled to Huacas, in Santa Cruz de Guanacaste, to bring 50 sports items —clothing, footwear, balls and rackets— to the CEPIA Association, a Costa Rican organization that since 2005 has supported more than 850 children and families across 29 communities in the region.

Santi and Miranda handed over every bag in person. They saw how the CEPIA team received, checked and sorted the gear that other kids no longer used, ready to get back on the field in the hands of whoever needs it. It was also their first lesson in philanthropy away from home.

Thanks to this delivery, the gear will benefit around 40 children across three Guanacaste communities. This is only the beginning: every item we receive and deliver brings us closer to the goal that no child stops playing for lack of equipment.
